Team KRC will be one of the BMW M Motorsport teams participating in the 71st Macau Grand Prix held from November 14 to 17 this year, competing in the World's Top GT events - the FIA GT World Cup. BMW M official driver Augusto Farfus will run the BMW M4 GT3 with Team KRC to compete as Macau Team.
Farfus has been the official driver of BMW M Motorsport since signed contract with them to compete in the WTCC World Touring Car Championship in 2007. For the coming 2nd decade, he has participated many events like DTM German Touring , IMSA Guardiola Sportscar Championship, WEC World Endurance Championship, Japan Super GT Championship, and has made many appearances in the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
The 41-year-old Brazilian driver is also an old mate and legend of the Macau Grand Prix. He made his first debut in 2005 and won the WTCC . In terms of his FIA GT World Cup experience, he made his BMW debut in 2017 and helped the Bavarian manufacturer win the final title in 2018. This year will be his 5th consecutive race as an official BMW driver. This time, aim for BMW’s second overall championship with Team KRC in the FIA GT World Cup!
Since our first visit to the legendary Macau Grand Prix in 2004, we have always participated as team / technical service for this Asia-Pacific racing event . After 20 years of competing , we also reach a new milestone at the 71st Macau Grand Prix- The first Macau team to attend the FIA GT World Cup!
For this memorable race, we launch a special edition of "Spark" paint for our car in this event. The paint scheme will be mainly orange and yellow, with dark patterns of "澳門" and "Macau" on both sides. "Spark" logo will be prominently displayed in the front of the car. After event, Spark will also launch the same 1:18 and 1:43 racing car models for sale, so the fans can get the same Macau commemorative car.
