2025 Annual Champion

Team KRC won the Silver-Am Annual Champion in GTWCA Beijing E-Town Round

From Oct 17 to 19, the 2025 GT World Challenge Asia finale took place on the streets of E-Town Beijing. Team KRC’s gentleman driver Ruan Cunfan and Dutch racer Maxime Oosten drove the #89 BMW M4 GT3 EVO to two runner-up finishes in the Silver-Am category

E-Town Street Circuit, the season’s second new venue after Mandalika, was also the first-ever street race in series history. The 4.9-km, 12-corner layout blended urban expressways with public roads between modern towers and Tongming Lake.

Although holding a strong points lead, the team prepared cautiously for Beijing. Limited practice time forced drivers to quickly adapt while engineers refined setup

Cold weather in qualifying made tire warm-up tricky: Ruan placed 3rd in Q1, Oosten 5th in Q2.

In Sunday’s Race 1, Ruan started safely through Turn 1 as multiple safety-car periods disrupted rhythm.

During the pit window he handed the car to Oosten, who rejoined 4th in class. After rivals were penalized or retired, the duo climbed to 3rd overall and 2nd in class—securing the Silver-Am title with one race to spare. Meanwhile we locked up the Silver-Am Annual Champion!

Race 2 was equally dramatic. Oosten’s strong start saw him overtake three cars to reach 2nd in class. Mid-race accidents again triggered the safety car, creating chaos in the pit lane.

Ruan took over and maintained position, but a major crash ended the race under safety-car conditions. The #89 BMW finished 2nd in class once more.

Across 12 races, Ruan and Oosten earned 10 class podiums, 5 victories, and 3 overall podiums, ultimately claiming the Silver-Am Drivers’ Championship crown. From early-season dominance in Sepang and Mandalika, to fierce mid-season battles, and finally a triumphant home race in Beijing, every round reflected the team’s precision, resilience, and teamwork.

Though the season has ended, Team KRC’s drive for victory continues—already preparing to pursue even greater glory next year.
