Founded in 2001, KRC has extensive experiences competing in both domestic and international motorsport events. Since 2008, the team has participated in various Formula racing series in Europe and returned to the Asian races in 2012. In 2016, KRC started to attend touring car and GT racing, successfully competing while providing technical and operational services to multiple top racing teams. Most recently, in 2024 Macau Grand Prix-FIA GT World Cup, KRC has achieved its best result in team history, securing a runner-up position with Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus.
Team WP300 is the largest esports organization of the iRacing platform in China, with nearly 100 active players representing the team in endurance races. The team has participated in 174 endurance and special events, achieving notable success ; 2nd place in TCR category and 3rd place in the GT4 category at the iRacing Nürburgring 24 Hours. A dominant victory in the LMP2 class at the 2025 Daytona 24 Hours, where a WP300 four-driver team won from pole position.For the Bathurst 12 Hours Special Event, WP300 fielded seven teams in different categories.
Blending Real-World Racing and Sim Racing ; The partnership between KRC Racing and Team WP300 aims to leverage the strengths of both real-world racing and esports.Professional drivers will use simulators to improve track learning efficiency, refine racecraft, and adapt more quickly to real-world racing conditions. Esports drivers will gain insights from KRC’s real-world racing expertise, learning race strategy, advanced driving techniques, and vehicle dynamics. WP300 members will be invited to real racing events, where they will experience race weekend operations firsthand and even have opportunities for test drives in real race cars.
The newly formed Team KRC-WP300 made its debut in the Bathurst 12 Hours Special Event, competing in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Despite challenging wet conditions, the three-driver lineup showcased resilience and strategic racing, made victory in their first race together. With this successful start, KRC Esports Team has set to pursue even greater achievements in the competitive world of iRacing.
