January 17–18, the Circuit Hero 3-Hour Endurance Race was held at Zhuhai International Circuit. Team KRC, with drivers Li Ning, Wang Hao, and Chris Chia sharing a BMW GT4, fought through multiple rounds of intense on-track battles and ultimately broke away from the field to secure the first victory of the 2026 season.
In Sunday morning’s qualifying session, Team KRC claimed pole position. The afternoon race, run over three hours plus one lap, saw Chris take the opening stint. Shortly after the start, he went head-to-head with the No. 91 SUPRA, and with precise line selection executed a decisive overtake to seize the lead. Not long after, an incident involving another car brought out the safety car. Facing a complex situation, Chris judged the timing perfectly and, the moment the safety car withdrew, pulled away from the chasing pack to build a clear advantage for the crew.
When the safety car was deployed again later due to another accident, KRC engineering team seized the opportunity to pit and hand the car over to second driver Li Ning. After the restart, the two GT4-class cars resumed their fierce duel. Following the second pit stop, third driver Wang Hao took over and once again completed a successful overtake. At the final driver change, Chris returned to the cockpit and further extended the team’s advantage, establishing a solid lead in the closing stages of the race. He ultimately took the checkered flag first, securing overall victory.
Next up, Team KRC will head to Australia in February to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour endurance race. Stay tuned for the latest updates from Team KRC.
